Introduction

Soft, squidgy banana cake made with dermerera sugar, honey, yoghurt and wholemeal flour. Soft, squidgy banana cake made with dermerera sugar, honey, yoghurt and wholemeal flour.

Ingredients

    Oil
    Honey
    Wholewheat flour
    Eggs
    Yoghurt
    Dermerera Sugar
    Ripe Bananas
    Vanilla Essence
    Cinnamon

Directions

Mix sugar, honey, vanilla, eggs and oil - beat hard with fork and make lots of air bubbles.

Sift wholemeal flour and add baking powder.

Fold the wet into the dry and combine with a butterknife.
Add yoghurt and mashed banana and mix gently. Add a sprinkle of cinnamon if you like.

Put into your desired cake tin/tray/etc and bake on 180 degrees Celsius for around 40-50 min or until skewer comes out clean.

Serving Size: cut into rows of 4x4 for 16 servings - if using square oven dish
