Introduction

Ingredients

12 slices of white bread (with crusts removed)
1 pound ground pork sausage
4 cups of skim milk
3 cups of shredded cheddar cheese
10 eggs
1/4 cup butter
2 tsp cayenne
1/2 tsp dry mustard (optional)
Directions
#1 - Spray a 9" x 13" pan with cooking oil.
#2 - Butter 6 slices of bread and put them face down in the pan.
#3 - Brown the sausage and distribute it evenly over the bottom slices of bread; then cover the sausage with the cheese.
#4 - Butter the remaining 6 slices of bread and place them butter side up over the cheese.
#5 - Mix the eggs, milk, cayenne, and mustard (optional), then pour the mixture over the top layer of bread. Cover and chill overnight or for a minimum of 8 hours for best results.
#6 - Bake the dish at 350 degrees for 60 minutes. Depending on your stove, watch the dish for the last 15 minutes; you may need to cover the dish with aluminum foil to prevent the top from burning or you may need to cook it up to an additional 10 minutes to ensure that the center is baked through.
#7 - Cut and serve!
