Introduction

Healthier alternative to pancake syrup. Easy to make and store. Healthier alternative to pancake syrup. Easy to make and store.
Number of Servings: 13

Ingredients

    2 TBSP cornstarch
    1/3 cup sugar
    1/8 tsp salt
    1 cup whole milk
    1 cup water
    2 TBSP egg white powder
    1 TBSP butter
    2 tsp vanilla
    1 cup berry puree (optional)

Directions

Mix cornstarch, sugar, salt, and egg white powder in a small saucepan (no heat).
Add milk and water; cook over medium heat, stirring constantly (I prefer a wisk), till mixture thickens.
Remove from heat.
Add butter, vanilla, and fruit puree if desired.
Serve warm or cold.
Store in a glass, sealed jar in the fridge.
