Introduction
When I buy steak, I make 2 meals out of one package. The first meal is 1/2 of the steak, pierced with a fork and rubbed with minced garlic. I lay it on top of a thin slice of bread and broil it. The other half is marinated, with this recipe, for another meal the next day. When I buy steak, I make 2 meals out of one package. Ingredients
-
1/4 c. balsamic vinegar
1/4 c. water
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 t. basil
1 t. thyme
1 t. ground mustard
1 t. beef boullion powder (sodium-free)
1 - 2 lbs. flank steak (I use 5 oz/serving)
Directions
1. Pierce steak on both sides with a fork, cut into serving size pieces and place in a one-gallon plastic bag.
2. Add spices and liquids to the bag. Seal the bag and work outside of bag until everything is well blended.
3. Refrigerate 4 - 24 hours, turning occassionally.
4. Broil on high 5-10 minutes.
I line a baking sheet with aluminum foil and coat with cooking spray for a quick clean up.
Is good served hot right out of the oven or cooled and sliced on top of a salad.
