Ingredients

Bob's Red Mill Gluten Free All Purpose Baking Flour, 4 cup Granulated Sugar, 1 TBSP
    Salt, 1.5 tsp
*Shortening, Crisco, buttery flavor, 1.5 cup
    Egg, fresh, 1 large
*Vinegar (average all vinegar from Calorie King), 1 TBSP
    *Water, .5 cup

Tips

Make sure the flour is not cold. It is more plyable if the flour is room temp.

If you like a thin crust, you can divide your ball into 4 small ones for a double crust pie.

The calorie count does NOT include the filling. This is for the crust ONLY.

Directions

Sift Together flour, sugar, and salt into a bowl. Cut in the Crisco with a pastry blender until particles are the size of pease. Beat egg in a bowl. Blend in vinegar and water. Sprinkle over flour mixture. Gather dough together with fingers to form a ball so that it cleans the bowl.

Divide the dough in half for 2 9 in. pie pans.

Roll out each ball and place in pie pans. Finish the edges the desired way. Put in filling and back.

Serving Size: 16 servings from 2 - 9 in. pies

    Good
I can't wait to try this. It looks like the same recipe I used but with gluten free flour. I am new to gluten free living. Recently figured out this was my problem. Thank you so much for making this recipe available. I rated it good even though I haven't tried it yet. - 6/9/12
