Ingredients

    1 Cup Brown Sugar, packed
    1/4 Cup Honey
    1 Cup Water
    1 tsp Vanilla Extract
    1 tsp Salt
    8 Cups Old Fashioned Oatmeal
    1/4 Cup Ground Flax Seed
    1 Cup Nuts (Pecans, Almonds, Walnuts), chopped


Tips

This works really well to add to yogurt for a parfait.


Directions

Heat oven to 275 degrees.

Combine Brown Sugar, Honey and Water in a bowl at least 4 cups in size. Microwave 5 minutes on High, until Brown Sugar is dissolved. Add Vanilla Extract and Salt. Combine Oats, Flax Seed and Nuts in a large bowl. Pour Brown Sugar/Honey mixture over Oat mixture, stirring well to combine.

Bake at 275 degrees for 1 hour (if using a convection oven, do not lower temperature)
