Ingredients

    2 Cups Kale
    2 Cups Spinach
    1 stalk celery
    1 orange, peeled
    1 apple, stemmed and quartered
    1 frozen banana
    1 Cup frozen strawberries
    2 T. ground flax seed
    2 T. pure maple syrup
    6 Cups cold water (approximate)

Tips

All measurements are approximate. I used whatever I have on hand as far as greens and fruits go. Pineapple and mango are delicious, as well as beet greens, collards, broccoli. Experiment and make it your own. I have this green smoothie every morning for breakfast. I feel it has greatly improved my health and is a great way to get in several servings of fruits and vegetables at the beginning of the day.


Directions

Place all ingredients in a good blender (Vita-mix or BlendTec recommended). Blend for 30 seconds, or until smooth.
