    1/2 cup unsalted butter
    1 tsp lemon zest
    1 cup sugar, save 1/4 cup for the topping
    1 tsp vanilla
    1 egg, room temp
    2 cups flour
    2 tsp baking powder
    1 tsp salt
    1 cup blueberries, more if you like
    1/2 cup buttermilk


cream butter and 3/4 cup sugar. Add egg and vanilla. Mix flour, baking powder and salt together and add to the butter/sugar mixtures, alternating with the buttermilk. Stir in the blueberries. Bake in 8 X8 pan.
Bake at 350 degrees. 35-45 min
