Ingredients

    Unbaked 9-inch pie shell
    1 large egg, slightly beaten
    1 cup pumpkin puree
    1/3 cup sugar
    1 Tbsp milk
    1 tbsp pumpkin pie spice
    2 large eggs, slightly beaten
    2/3 cup light corn syrup
    ¼ cup brown sugar
    2 tbsp milk
    1 tbsp butter, melted
    ½ tsp vanilla
    1 cup chopped pecans

Directions

Pumpkin Layer:
Combine 1 egg, pumpkin, 1/3 cup sugar, milk, cinnamon, nutmeg and ginger.
Spread gently over bottom of unbaked pie shell.
Pecan Layer:
Combine 2 eggs, corn syrup, 1/2 cup sugar, milk, butter and vanilla.
Stir in pecans.
Pour carefully over pumpkin layer in pie shell.
Bake in 375-degree F oven for 50 minutes.

    This recipe needs to be edited. In the list of ingredients it calls for pumpkin pie spice but in the directions it tells you to mix in the cinnamon, nutmeg, and ginger.

    It also calls for 1/4 cup brown sugar in the ingredients but in the directions for the pecan layer it states 1/2 cup sugar.
