Ingredients

1 Can Carnation fat free milk
1 16oz Can tomato sauce of choice
    1/2 Cup tap water
    1 Tablespoon butter
    1 teaspoon chopped onion
1 teaspoon celery seed (or salt)
    1 teaspoon chopped garlic
    1/2 teaspoon sugar
1/2 to 3/4 teasoon baking soda (prevents milk curdling)

Note: For some reason, I could not remove the 1 CUP CHOPPED ONION from recipe, and the DUPLICATED CELERY SEED, try as I might! So DO NOT add these to the soup!

Tips

NOTE INFO BELOW THE INGREDIENTS - DO NOT ADD THE CUP OF ONION AND THE EXTRA CELERY SEED.

Directions

Lightly saute the seasonings in butter. Be careful to use low heat so butter doesn't brown. Heat tomato sauce and water together on low heat. Add canned milk with 3/4 teaspoon of baking soda while stirring stir constantly. May foam but will loose the foam when the soda is thoroughly incorporated into the mixture. Add the sauted seasonings and stir well. Reheat to near boiling, and serve with croutons, crackers, or toast.
Other seasonings like basil, cheese, etc can be added to suit your taste.
