Introduction

Recipe handed down by my mother and grandmother. Maybe even farther back! Recipe handed down by my mother and grandmother. Maybe even farther back!
Number of Servings: 1

Ingredients

    1 3-4 pound beef roast, cubed
    I can of low sodium beef broth
    1 can of whole tomatoes
    1 can of stewed or crushed tomatoes
    1/2 large onion, chunked
    1 medium bag of baby carrots
    1 medium head of cabbage, sliced
    Salt and pepper to taste

Tips

You can also freeze uneaten stew in quart freezer bags to use as needed.


Directions

Brown cubed beef and add to other ingredients, except potato. Wait until all other ingredients are tender to your taste, then add chunks of peeled potatoes to stew and cook until done.

Serving Size: Makes a dinner for a family of 5 easily.
