Ingredients

    1 pound sausage or ground beef or ground venison
    1 can cream of chicken soup
    ¾ cup milk
    ½ cup chopped onion
    ½ tsp salt
    ¼ tsp pepper
    6 medium potatoes, peeled and sliced
    2 cups (8 oz) shredded cheddar cheese
    Minced fresh parsley, optional garnish

Tips

Garnish with parsley if desired


Directions

1. In a large skillet, cook sausage (or beef or venison) over medium heat until no longer pink; drain and set aside
2. In a bowl, combine soup, milk, onion, salt, and pepper
3. In a 2 qt. baking dish, layer potatoes, soup mixture, and meat. Repeat layers. End with potatoes on top (decorative or just throw them on).
4. Cover and bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour or until the potatoes are tender.
5. Sprinkle with cheese; bake uncovered for 2-3 minutes, or until cheese is melted.
