Number of Servings: 6

Ingredients

    16 oz of chicken breasts
    Onion powder to taste
    Pepper to taste
    Paprika to taste
1 10.75oz can of Cream of Mushroom soup
    4 carrots sliced
    4 celery stalks
1/2 cup of dry white wine
8 oz of sliced fresh mushrooms (could use canned)
1 cup reduced fat sour cream
    1/4 cup all purpose flour

Tips

Serve with rice or pasta (not included in nutrition facts). Could substitute a packet of dry onion soup mix for the onion powder or 1 medium onion chopped. The nutrition facts use regular Cream of Mushroom Soup but, you could substitute low fat or low sodium.

Directions

Place the chicken on the bottom of the slow cooker (I like to cut the chicken into 3 oz pieces to make divying up the servings easier). Sprinkle with onion powder, pepper, and paprika to taste. Mix the white wine, cream of mushroom soup, mushrooms, carrots, and celery in a mixing bowl. In another mixing bowl mix the sour cream and flour, then combine with the mushroom soup mixture. Pour over the chicken breasts. Cover and cook on low for 6 to 8 hours (high 3 to 4 hours).
