I usually replace a meal with this smoothy to get my daily fruits and then some. I love this smoothy. It can be a great snack, a breakfast smoothy, or a dessert. Ingredients

    1 or 2 Bananas, freshly peeled
    1 Oranges
    1 cupStrawberries
    3/4 cup Blueberries
    1 Cup Old Fashioned Quaker Oatmeal- Plain
    2 tbsp Flax Seed Meal (ground flax),
    2 Dole Pineapple Slices in 100% pineapple juice
    1 Cup Yogurt, vanilla or plain, low fat
    1 Pink Lady or Granny Smith Apple
    40-44 ounces of Crushed Ice, snow cone consistency

Tips

Because fruits are highly perishable, you may want to cut the recipe into smaller portions. I would not keep this more than a day.


Directions

1. Rinse fruit
2. Grind Oatmeal and flax seed in Blender or grinder. Set aside.
3. Crush 40 oz. of Ice - set aside.
4. Mix together fruit and yogurt in blender until smooth in consistency.
5. Add in ground oatmeal, flax seed mixture and ice to taste.
6. Pour and enjoy.

Serving Size: Makes 8 - 8 oz servings
