Ingredients

    Turkey (light meat), 1 pound
    Brown Rice, long grain, 1 cup
    homemade Chicken broth, 6 cup
    Bay Leaf, 1 tsp, crumbled
    Basil, 1 tbsp
    Broccoli, fresh, 10 oz

Tips

I added the rice at the beginning, but it may end up firmer if added at the end.


Directions

cook rice in steamer rice bowl or according to package directions. Chop leftover turkey into small, bite size pieces and place in crock pot. Pour in thawed chicken broth and stir in broccoli. season to taste with bay leaf, basil, or other seasonings. Cook on low, 6 hours, adding rice either when it finishes cooking or for last 30 minutes of cooking.
