    Ground Turkey (1-2 lbs)
    4 Tbsp Olive oil
    chopped garlic- 1 to 4 cloves to taste
    1 28-oz large can crushed tomatoes
    1 bell pepper, any color
    1 16-can black beans
    1 16-can red kidney beans
    Cumin to taste
    Chili powder to taste
    Salt and pepper to taste


Brown turkey with olive oil and garlic. Place turkey and all other ingredients in a slow cooker and cook on high for 3-4 hours. Enjoy!

    I put this recipe into the Weight Watchers recipe builder & at a generous 6 servings per recipe (instead of 10). It came out to 7 pts per serving. Makes a good supper paired with salad or fruit. I added diced onion; used 1 can chili ready tomato & 1 can tomato w/green chilies, instead of stewed. - 2/24/12

  • Great base recipe but I did find it a little on the bland side. I ended up adding some dry mustard as well as some ketchup. I did use salt which I normally do not but it did need it. I also added some onion. Next time I will also use two bell peppers instead of one. I cooked on low for 8 hours. - 12/28/13
