Ingredients

    1 can chickpeas (reserve juice)
    3 tbs tahini
    3 cloves of garlic
    2 tbs cumin
    2 tbs cayenne pepper
    1 tbs sea salt
    1/2 lemon (juice of)
    2 tbs olive oil

Tips

I like my hummus to have a strong garlic taste. If you do not care for the intensity of the garlic listed below, decrease the amount of cloves you use. Just DO NOT use garlic powder. You will not achieve the flavor desired.

Serve with fresh baked pita wedges or crispy pita chips. I also use the hummus as a spread in gyros, wraps, and sandwiches. It's a great vegetarian/vegan substitute to spreads.


Directions

Add all ingredients in a blender or food processor (except juice from chickpeas). Blend. Add chickpea juice until you read desired consistency.
