Introduction
This is adapted from the cookbook, The Indian Slow Cooker.I had to adapt it to fit what spices I had on hand. I'm not sure what lentils I actually used...the bag just said lentils. I hope the nutrition facts are correct, there is no entry for dried lentils, cooked. I estimated 1/2c dry lentils=1c cooked. Ingredients

3c whole dried black lentils (rinsed thoroughly)
1 medium yellow or red onion (peeled & quartered)
1 2in (5cm) piece ginger (peeled & coarsely chopped)
1.5t crushed garlic (about 4 cloves)
2c chopped cilantro (divided)
1T curry powder
1T ground coriander
1T garam masala
1t salt
1.5t Sriracha sauce
10.5c water
Tips
You can garnish with fresh tomatoes, cilantro, onion, plain yogurt or even butter if you wish; just remember to change to calorie count accordingly.
Directions
Put lentils in slow cooker. In food processor grind onion, garlic, ginger, & half of the cilantro. Add to cooker along with spices. Add water & stir. Cook on high 8 hrs. Add in the rest of the cilantro & let sit for a few minutes.
