Introduction

Have a hard time getting a bit of protein? Need a "sweet" snack that's better for you than a candy bar? These nuts will hit the spot! Have a hard time getting a bit of protein? Need a "sweet" snack that's better for you than a candy bar? These nuts will hit the spot!
Number of Servings: 32

Ingredients

    4 cups of nuts (walnuts were used for the caloric part of this recipe)
    3/4 cup white sugar
    1 egg white with 1 tsp of water
    1.5 tsp cinnamon
    1 tsp nutmeg
    1 tsp cloves

Tips

Walnuts are a bit high in calories - try this with other nuts to knock down the caloric intake!


Directions

Preheat oven at 275 degrees.

Beat the 1 egg white with the water until fluffy. Pour over the nuts in a bowl, coating them.

Combine the sugar and seasonings in a separate container (mix well). Then pour over the wet nuts. Mix well.

Pour combination onto a greased cookie sheet, or parchment paper (recommended).

Bake for a total of 30 min; turn nuts half way through.

Let cool and enjoy!

Serving Size: Makes 32 (1/8 cup size) servings
