Ingredients


    (do not drain juice from cans)


    1 14.5oz can of sliced carrotts
    2 14.5oz can tomatoes and okra
    3 14.5oz can of mixed veg (carrotts, corn, peas, green beans, potato)
    3/4 cup barley
    6 cups of water
    2tsp garlic salt
    1/2 lb ground turkey
    1 lb of ground chuck

Tips

Because this recipe makes such a large amount you can freeze some for a later date, I have a large family so this soup never last more than a day or two.


Directions

open all cans and pour in a 6 Quart Pot, Add garlic salt, and water, set on stove eye to boil.. while you wait brown the ground chuck and ground turkey- drain fat off of ground meat add to veg mix. when mix comes to a boil add barley stir, reduce heat to a simmer and cover.. allow to simmer for about an hour...
