Ingredients

3 sticks of butter salted - softened
6 large eggs
2 cups sugar
1 tsp vanilla
1 tsp lemon juice, lime juice, or key lime juice
8 oz sour cream
1 tsp baking POWDER
3 cups cake flour
1/2 tsp kosher salt
Tips
Using a stand mixer assists greatly in making this cake. It can be decorated with fruit, frosting or powdered sugar.
Directions
Cream together eggs and sugar until light, cream butter together with vanilla and choice of citrus juice. Alternate, mixing completly inbetween additions, sour cream and dry ingredients, until mixed well.
Spray oil and flower a 10 cup or greater flute pan, do not use regular cake pans.
Bake at 375 F for 55 minutes and then drop to 350 F for an aditional 10-20 minutes or until well browned.
Serving Size: Makes one 10 cup pound cake approximately 20 inch size pieces
