Ingredients

    3/4 c. shortening or substitute with Vegetable Oil (same amount)
    1 1/2 cups sugar
    2 eggs
    1/2 cups milk (1%)
    2 cups flour
    1/2 cup cocoa (6 tbsp.)- I use Nestle Nesquik Chocolate Flavor
    2 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. salt
    2 tsp. vanilla
    2 Medium Sized Bananas Mashed

Tips

You can leave out the bananas and make a simple homemade chocolate cake!


Directions

Mix ingredients and last of all add 1 cup boiling water. Pour batter into a greased and lightly floured cake pan (any size or shape).

Bake at 350°F until a toothpick inserted in center of cake comes out clean (approximately 30 minutes).
