Serve this dish with Basmati rice or an Indian bread of your choice.
A tasty protein-rich salad that can be taken any where. Perfect for at work or on the go.
A traditional Indian lentil soup, this dish is bursting with flavor and fiber.
This is an easy, fantastic and flavorful way to enjoy the benefits of protein, complex carbohydrates, and potassium packed lentils and brown rice.
This is a much healthier alternative to regular meatballs. They're also pretty delicious. They taste great with spaghetti and sauce. I prefer to serve them with Trader Joe's Organic Whole Wheat Spaghetti and Trader Joe's Garlic Marinara Sauce. Sometimes the mix can become a little squishy and so we just use it as "meat sauce" instead of rolling into balls. If you wait long enough for moisture to evaporate, making balls should not be an issue. As meatballs they are even better the next day. Me and my boyfriend (who is vegan) adapted this recipe from the recipe here: http://www.grouprecipes.com/96989/red-lentil-patties-vegetarian-meatballs.html
A neat twist on a traditional lentil salad, this one uses sprouted lentils instead of cooked ones for added nutrition and outstanding taste!
Let the slow cooker bring out all the flavors of the spices in this dish!
A recipe from my mother-in-law who lives in Bethlehem; best served with Jerusalem salad
A delicious Dal that is best when eaten with Indian Basmati Rice
This is the recipe from Veganomicon, unchanged. Isa calls it 4-6 servings, so I split the difference and listed it as 5.
This recipe is part of "The SparkPeople Cookbook." Order your copy today! This salad is even better the longer it sits in the fridge, so we love to make a big batch of it and eat it throughout the week.

Just because I'm a vegetarian doesn't mean I can't still be a meat & potatoes kinda of girl!
This recipe is adapted from the one found at Runner's World website. It is a great vegetarian recipe for anyone running or otherwise.
Hearty, healthy and delicious. Meat eaters love this too!!
An excellent vegetarian dish that everyone will love.
Tomatoes form the base, 4 beans and lentils make this hearty. Meat and dairy products can be added, but are not necessary. Makes 16 hearty servings that each have 50% of your daily fiber intake.
Makes 6 servings, Great With Basmati Rice
Delicious and nutritional non-meat alternative. I even eat a leftover serving for breakfast!
