    1/2 C. Yogurt, plain, non-fat, unsweetened
    1 1/2 C. Wholewheat Flour
    1 C. Brown Sugar, unpacked
    1/2 C. Applesauce, unsweetened
    2 tsp. Baking Powder
    1 Egg, large
    2 Egg whites
    1 T. Cinnamon
    2 tsp. Ginger, ground
    2 tsp. Nutmeg, ground
    1 tsp. Vanilla extract

    Optional: Add 2 C. chopped apples to batter. Nutritional content will be different!


Put the wet ingredients in a bowl and mix them thoroughly with a whisk.
Add dry ingredients, and whisk again.

Pour into a round, 11-inch diameter, non-stick pan. Prepare the pan by oiling or buttering it, then putting wax paper on the bottom.

Cook at 375° F (180° C.) for about 20 minutes in ventiliated heat. Done when a knife inserted comes out clean. Let cool for 10 minutes, turn out on serving plate.
Serves 12.
