Ingredients

1 package (11 ounces) refrigerated French bread dough
    1 egg white
    1 dash of salt
    1 tsp of black pepper
    1 tsp of garlic powder
1 green bell pepper, cut into 1/2-inch strips
    1 small onion, sliced
    1 lime
1/3 cup thick and chunky salsa
    1 garlic clove, pressed
8 ounces sliced deli turkey breast
1 cup (4 oz) shredded cheddar cheese

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Place bread dough, seam sides down, along length of pan. Using a serrated bread knife, make four diagonal cuts, 1/2 inch deep, on top of the loaf of dough. In a small batter bowl, whisk egg white and salt, pepper, and a dash of italian or southwestern seasoning. Brush over dough using a pastry brush. Bake 25-27 minutes or until light golden brown. Immediately remove bread from pan to a cooling rack; set aside.

Slice bell peppers into 1/2-inch strips using a knife. Slice onion; cut slices in half. Using a juicer, juice lime to measure 1 tablespoon juice.

Heat skillet over medium-high heat until hot; spray with vegetable oil. Add bell peppers, onion, and remaining seasoning mixes to skillet, stir-fry 2 -3 minutes or until vegetables are crisp-tender. Add lime juice, salsa, and garlic to skillet; stir-fry for 1 minute. Remove from heat.

Using Serrated Bread Knife, slice each loaf lengthwise, end to end, cutting halfway through to center of loaf; spread open, Arrange turkey evenly over loaf; top with vegetable mixture. Grate cheese over vegetable mixture using cheese grater. Place loaf on bar pan; bake 8-10 minutes or until cheese is melted. Remove from oven; cut into slices. Serve with additional salsa and sour cream, if desired.
