Ingredients

    9 lb pork shoulder picnic roast
    1 packet Lipton onion soup mix, dry
    2 cups water
    1 medium head green cabbage, chopped
    3 medium carrots, peeled and sliced
    1 green apple, cored and diced
    6 medium potatoes, peeled and diced
    1 red onion, diced

Tips

I save broth and leftovers to make with beans the next day.


Directions

start with pork roast, water and soup mix in the slow cooker on high for about 6 hours. Once meat is cooked through, remove and add the other ingredients. Cook on high for at least 2 more hours or until cooked.

Serving Size: 36- 4 oz servings of meat with about 1 cup veggies

    .Easy, Fast and delicious. The only thing I did different was put the veggies in for 30 minutes then I took the meat out removed all the fat then put it back in with the vegetables. A keeper! - 6/27/13

    Incredible!
    I browned my roast & sauteed the onions with the roast. This carmilized the onions & gave me scrapings which I made a broth out of & added to the onion soup mix & water.
