Introduction

Ingredients

    1 Stick salted butter
    2-4 cups of sliced, peeled peaches
    2 tsp baking powder
    1 cup of sugar
    1 cup all purpose flour
    1 cup 2% milk
    1 Tsp ground cinnamon (optional)
    2 Tsp vanilla extract (optional)

Tips

some ovens may take a little longer to bake.


Directions

Place butter in casserole dish and place in cold oven. Set oven to preheat to 350 F. If peaches are not juicy, sprinkle with some sugar. Whisk together sugar, baking powder, flour, cinnamon, and vanilla. Then add milk until well blended. When butter has melted and oven is at 350 F, pour bbatter into casserole dish. Add peaches and juice evenly, keeping them away from the sides. Return to oven and bake for 1 hour or until top is golden brown.

Serving Size: makes about 6-8 1 cup servings
