Introduction

My version of Miyabi's Tuna Carpaccio dish. My version of Miyabi's Tuna Carpaccio dish.
Number of Servings: 1

Ingredients

    For the salad:
    3 oz Sashimi Grade YellowfinTuna
    Salt and Pepper
    2 cups of mixed greens
1/2 of a small cucumber, peeled and sliced thinly
1/2 of a small avocado, pitted and removed from skin, then sliced into half moons

    For dressing:
    1 tablespoon of soy sauce
    1/2 tsp of honey
2 tbsp seasoned rice wine vinegar
splash of sesame oil ( 1/2 tsp)
1 tsp Sriracha hot sauce (optional)
1 small garlic glove finely diced

Tips

* If you do not like the taste of raw garlic you could use ground garlic or garlic salt.
* I use low sodium soy sauce to cut down the salt content.
* Pickled ginger on the side also makes a good accompaniment.

Directions

Salt and pepper the tuna. Spray a non stick pan with PAM and then over medium high heat sear the Yellowfin Tuna to your desired temp (I prefer rare). Remove fish from pan and allow to rest on a small plate.

Now assemble your salad.
Pile Greens on a plate and top with cucumber and avocado.

Slice your tuna and top the salad with the fish.

Whisk together soy sauce, honey, rice wine vinegar, sesame oil, the finely chopped garlic, and Sriracha hot sauce (if desired). Drizzle over the salad.

Enjoy!
