Ingredients

    1/3 c bread crumbs
8 ounces boneless skinless chicken breast cut into nugget sized pieces
    2 T Tabasco Sauce
    1 t onion powder
    1 t garlic powder
    1 t Cayenne Pepper
    1 t Black Pepper

Directions

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Place bread crumbs in a pie pan. Add seasonings and mix well. Place chicken pieces in a separate dish, and cover and toss with hot sauce. Spray a sheet pan with nonstick spray. Give each chicken piece a shake (so it's not dripping with hot sauce), and then coat it evenly with the crumbs.Use one hand for the wet ingredients and one for the wet ingredients so that the bread crumbs will not clump. Place the nuggets on the sheet pan. Bake 10 minutes. Flip and bake for an additional 7-8 minutes or until fully cooked. Serve with additional hot sauce, if desired, or bleu cheese dressing. (Nutrition info not included!) Don't forget the celery!Number of Servings: 2

made these tonight for dinner...i used franks red hot instead of tabasco, panko instead of breadrcrumbs and did half with bbq sauce for my mom and bro who don't like hot sauce. they were soo good! i had mine over a salad with some ff blue cheese and it really hit the spot! - 1/31/09

This recipe was excellent, but I found I needed more than 22 grams of bread crumbs to cover the chicken. I needed about 70 grams to cover 8 ounces of chicken. This raised the calorie content a bit, but it was still within my acceptable range and tasted amazing. - 6/30/09

YUMMY! Put these on a bed of lettuce with non-fat blue cheese dressing for a buffalo chicken salad. Served with celery sticks. Both my husband and I loved it! - 3/12/09

STELLAR! I used a little more garlic and onion powder and a little less cayenne pepper for this. They were not only delicious, they LOOKED yummy too! Honestly these taste like restaurant quality chicken strips, and I love how healthy they are! Thanks so much! - 7/23/08
