Ingredients

1 cup water
1/3 to 1/4 cup Lactaid Fat Free Milk
1 tea bag of Lipton Tea
optional
1 cardamom (smashed)
1 clove (smashed)
pinch of ginger (grated)
Smash the cardamom and clove with a pastel to bring out the flavors.
Tips
If you have Indian Chai Masala, you can use a pinch or two of the masala instead of the optional items.
Instead of Sugar, honey can be used to sweeten. Sweeten to taste.
If you like strong tea, use Indian Lipton Loose Tea (1tsp) instead of the tea bags.
Directions
In a pan, add water, cardamom, clove, ginger and tea bag, bring to full boil. Add milk and boil. Watch pot carefully so that it does not boil over. Turn off heat, remove pan from the stove. Add sugar, stir.
If the tea bag bursts - strain tea in a cup before drinking.
Cooking time varies - 10 min. on stove top.
Microwave directions -
boil water, tea and spices in glass Pyrex 2 cup measuring cup; Add milk, boil for 1 min. If tea does not froth, then boil again for another 30 seconds or 1 min. watching carefully that it does not boil over.
Microwave temperatures vary so take care that it does not boil over. Mess to clean up.
