Ingredients

    2 chicken breasts
    4 C low sodium chicken broth
    2 C brown rice
    2 Tbl onion flakes
    2 tsp garlic pdr
    1/2 tsp celery seed
    1/4 C sour cream
    1/4 C whole milk
    3 oz cheddar cheese

Tips

You could easily reduce the fat/calories in this by using low fat versions of the sour cream and milk.


Directions

Add frozen chicken breasts, bone in if desired, broth, and seasonings to crock pot. Cook on low at least 3 hours, but more is fine. Add rice 2 hours before you want to eat. Remove chicken, debone and chop, return to pot. 10-45 min before serving, stir in sour cream, milk, and cheese. Cooks in crock pot on low a total of about 8 hrs
