Introduction

This is my great grandmother's green bean recipe. It's one of the few ways that I enjoy green beans. This is my great grandmother's green bean recipe. It's one of the few ways that I enjoy green beans.
Number of Servings: 5

Ingredients

    Red Bell Pepper (1 large)
    Onion (1/2 medium sized onion)
Extra Virgin Olive Oil, 2 tbsp
Green Beans (snap), about 1 lb
    JAMON SEASONING (GOYA) 1 packet
    Yellow Tail (Shiraz), 4 oz
    Vinegar: White Vinegar, 1 tbsp

Tips

You can serve this dish right away, but if you let the green beans sit for an hour and serve it room temp, the flavors develop even more.

Also, the original recipe called for red wine vinegar, but I didn't have any so I improvised and substituted Shiraz and a tablespoon of vinegar.

Directions

Cook green beans in a pot of boiling water for about 15 minutes or until Al Dente.

Meanwhile saute peppers and onions in a saute pan with the Jamon seasoning.

When the onions are translucent, add the garlic and saute for 3 more minutes.

Add the green beans with red wine and vinegar. Let simmer for 10-15 minutes.
