Introduction

A warm cornbread to compliment any fall dish! A warm cornbread to compliment any fall dish!
Number of Servings: 12

Ingredients

    2 Cups of Spelt Flour
    1 Cup Cornmeal
    2 1/2 tsp baking powder
    1/2 tsp baking soda
    1/2 tsp salt

    1 1/2 cup of non dairy milk
    4 tsp apple cider vinegar
    1 cup pumpkin puree
    1/3 cup of canola oil
    1/4 of cane sugar or 1/4 cup of maple syrup

Tips

I bake in a cast iron pan... I put the pan in the oven to preheat with a 1tbsp of shortening!


Directions

Pre heat oven to 350
Combine the the dry ingredience in a large bowl and combine thoroughly. Add the apple cider vinegar to the milk and set aside to curdle for a couple of minutes. Then add all wet mixtures together and mix for a few minutes...then add all dry ingredients. Mix well and pour into greased pan and bake for 25minutes...or until tooth pick is clean.

Serving Size: Makes 12 peices
