Ingredients

    4 c. beef tips or stew meat
    2 medium onions
    5 large carrots
    5 c. vegetable stock
    2 c. fresh mushrooms
    2 c. barley

Tips

The longer and slower its cooked, the more tender the meat will be, but don't add the barley until about an hour before serving. It can get mushy. Freezes well.


Directions

Chop onions and carrots and slice mushrooms. Put all ingredients into crock pot or slow cooker except barley. Cook on low for at least 5 hours. Add barley and cook for another hour. Serve
