Introduction
I love regular cookie dough dip but wanted to see if I could substitute for dairy-free ingredients and it come out great. It came out so good!! This recipe is perfect for people who have a dairy allergy and/or intolerance. Not the most healthy, but it is a perfect little sweet indulgence to have. Ingredients
-
1/2 Cup Smart Balance Light w/Flax Oil, melted & cooled
1/3 Cup Brown Sugar, packed
1 8oz Container Tofutti Cream Cheese (room temp)
1 Cup Powdered Sugar
1 tsp Vanilla Extract
1 Cup Dairy-Free Chocolate Chips (I used Chocolate Dream)
1/2 Cup to 1 Cup of All-Purpose Flour (as needed only to thicken)
Water (if needed only to thin out)
Tips
If dip is too thick add 1T of water at a time and mix in. If it is too thin, add 1T of flour at a time and mix in until dip is the “right” cookie dough consistency that you prefer.
Use anything you like to dip into it. I prefer Chocolate Graham Crackers.
Directions
Melt butter, set aside and let cool. Mix powdered sugar and cream cheese in mixer or processor. Pour in butter and mix in rest of ingredients except chocolate chips. Stir with mixer until completely mixed. Then add chocolate chips and stir with mixer until you have chocolate chips evenly distributed throughout the dough. Then you can change the thickness or thinness to your liking or eat it like it is.
You can store in the fridge for a couple of hours to set some more or eat right then. If too thick after storing, set out for about 30-45 minutes before consuming.
Serving Size: Makes about 10 to 20 1/3cup servings (depending on amount of flour or water used) Calories estimated for 12 servings.
