A simple yet delicious recipe for Rice pudding. A simple yet delicious recipe for Rice pudding.
Number of Servings: 3


    1/2 Cup Long grain white rice.

    1/3 Cup white sugar.

    1 Litre Full cream milk.

    Tsp Vanilla essence.

    2-3 Cloves.

    Cinnamon to taste.


It is always advised to keep an eye on the saucepan in its simmering state as the milk may boil over and cause spills. I remove the skin regularly or mix it back into the mixture. The choice is yours.


Combine Sugar, Milk, Rice, Vanilla Essence & Cloves to a medium sized saucepan and bring the concoction to the boil stirring occasionally. Once achieved a boiling state quickly drop heat down to a simmer and allow to simmer for 40-45 minutes stirring regularly.

Once completed set aside from heat and allow to stand for 5 minutes.

Once rested places servings into appropriate bowls and refrigerate or serve warm with a light coating of cinnamon.
