-
1 12oz bag of cranberries (fresh or frozen)
1-3 strips of orange zest
juice of one orange
1 cinnamon stick
3/4 cups sugar
water
Directions
Divid cranberries and set half aside.
In a pan/pot bring half the cranberries, the cinnamon stick, orange zest, sugar, and 1/4 cup water to a simmer. Orange juice is optional; if you leave it out add more water. Then raise to a boil until the berries begin to fall apart and reduce to a bare simmer again.
Remove the cinnamon stick and orange zest (if you had it in strips).
Add remaining berries and simmer about 5-10 minutes. Remove from heat, pour into a bowl, and put it in the refrigerator to set up.
