Ingredients

1 pound Meijer Italian Sausage
1/2 large onion - sliced or chopped
1 pound broccoli
1 pound bacon
1 cup heavy cream
30 oz of chicken stock OR water
3 tsp garlic (powder or minced)
Salt and pepper to taste
OPTIONAL:
1 big package of fresh spinach leaves
Red pepper flakes to taste
Directions
Cook the bacon and sausage - breaking up into smaller pieces, drain and set aside
Steam broccoli in microwave for 6-7 minutes to cook.
Add all ingredients (except spinach and heavy cream) to a crock pot or stew pot.
Cover and simmer until onions are cooked.
Add heavy cream and spinach (if you are including it) and bring back to a simmer.
Then - soup's on!
Serving Size: Makes about 8 cups
