Number of Servings: 6

Ingredients

    Green beans, 450 g
    Butter, 2 tablespoons
Fine Ground black pepper, 1/2 teaspoon
    1/2 cup raw onions
    Salt to taste

Directions

Cut the beans up into large pieces and blanche them in boiling hot water with salt in it for 2-3 mins. Transfer them quickly to cold water to keep them crisp. Melt the butter in a non stick pan and stir fly the onions start turning brown. Add in the beans and cook on medium heat for 2-3 minutes. Keep tossing to make sure all the beans are cooked evenly. This makes around 6 half cup servings.
I used butter because that's easily available in the student dining hall, but you can easily substitute the butter with 2 tablespoons of oil.
