    1 lb Ground Turkey, Lean
    1 Medium Onion, Chopped
    2 Cloves Garlic, Minced
    1 Can (15oz) Stewed Tomatoes
    1 Can (10oz) Rotel Diced Tomatoes with Green Chilis
    2 Cups Tomato Sauce
    1 Pack (10oz) Mushrooms, Chopped
    1 Tbsp Chili Powder
    1/2 Tsp Black Pepper
    1/2 Tsp Cumin
    1/2 Tsp Creole Seasoning (Tony Chachere's)
    Chipotle Chile Pepper to taste


I add more tomatoes and/or tomato paste to create a thicker consistency or chunkier chili. Make sure to add more seasoning as necessary.

Feel free to garnish the chili with fat free sour cream and fat free cheese. Both are allowed in Cycle 1 of the 17 Day Diet (in small portions).


1. Brown the ground turkey and chopped onion in a saucepan.
2. Add the remaining ingredients, stir, and simmer for 25 minutes.

    I really enjoyed this recipe. I plan on continuing to make it beyond the diet, added a can of black beans rinsed for cycle 2 of the diet, made it even better. - 2/9/15
