Introduction

This side dish is a tangy version of boring, old spinach. This side dish is a tangy version of boring, old spinach.
Number of Servings: 4

Ingredients

    2 cups frozen spinach
    4 tsp fresh minced garlic
    1 tbsp olive oil
    1-1/2 tbsp onion powder

Directions

Preheat oil in small sauce pot then add garlic.
Once garlic is cooked, add in spinach and onion powder.
Stir in and cook over medium heat mixing occasionally.
Once done makes 4-1/2 cup servings.

    I adjusted it a little. Used fresh spinach out of my garden (YUM!), 1/2T oil, a little water, and pepper. So I sauteed the garlic, then added the other seasonings and steamed it until shriveled. Added grilled garlic shrimp on top & YUM! - 7/16/08

    Very Good! I used chopped frozen spinach and think whole leaf would have been better. Also, I mistakenly bought elephant garlic--sweeter than normal. Mistake. I had to add garlic salt to give it more punch. My hubby, who dislikes cooked spinach, liked it, too! Thanks for sharing! - 7/17/07
