Ingredients

    2oz feta (I used fat free)
    1 15 oz of chick peas, rinsed
    2oz fresh basil leaves
    6-8 T (1/2 cup) olive oil
    1 Tablespoon lemon juice
    Salt and pepper to taste

Tips

Used fat free feta, but reduced fat may have needed a little less olive oil. Serve with baked pita chips.


Directions

In a food processor, combine basil, feta and chickpeas until roughly blended. Drizzle in oil a little at a time as you thorouhly blend. Scrape edges as needed. Add lemon juice, salt and pepper. Blend.

Serving Size: Makes just over a cup. About 16 1-tablespoon servings
