Introduction

Ingredients

    3/4 head of cabbage sliced very thinly
    28 oz can Crushed Tomatoes
    14 oz can diced tomatoes
    Medium onion diced
    8 oz Beef short rib with bones
    2 large beef neck bones
    Splenda no calorie sweetner to taste
    Juice of one lemon
    beef broth

Tips

I served it with slices of Challah Bread, which was perfect with it.


Directions

Place short ribs, beef bones with water to cover by an inch. Bring to a boil and skim off any foam. Add beef broth onions and tomatoes. Let cook for an hour.
Meanwhile, thoroughly salt the cabbage, then pour hot water over it, followed immediately by cold water.
Add to the pot. Let cook for another hour, or until meat and cabbage are tender. Add Lemon Juice and splenda to taste.


Serving Size: Makes 8 1 cup servings
