Introduction

This recipe idea came to me one morning. It combines two of my favorite things; French toast & apple cider. This recipe idea came to me one morning. It combines two of my favorite things; French toast & apple cider.

Ingredients

    1/2 cup Egg Beaters, egg substitute
    1 packet Alpine Spiced Apple Cider Mix, sugar free
    1/4 cup water
    4 slices 100% Whole wheat bread
    Ground cinnamon

Tips

With whole grain breads, I find it best to soak in egg mixture until pretty soggy. Toast will puff up while cooking.


Directions

Spray & heat griddle, or large skillet, to medium high. Combine Egg Beaters, cider mix & water in blender, or small bowl with whisk, until blended. Pour into flat dish or pie pan. Dip bread slices on both sides until well saturated. Place on heated griddle, sprinkle with cinnamon, & cook until browned. Flip & repeat. Serve with warm syrup, jelly, fruit, or nuts.
