    1/2 lb. imitation crab or cooked shrimp
    1 14 oz can chicken broth
    1 14 oz can Italian seasoned diced tomatoes
    1/2 onion, chopped
    3 cloves garlic, minced (or 3/8 tsp powder)
    1 tsp seafood spice (Pappy's or other)
    1/2 tsp marjoram
    1 1/2 tsp basil leaves
    1/4 tsp pepper
    salt to taste
    1 Tbl oil
    8 oz. pasta


1. Saute garlic and onion in oil.
2. Add broth, tomatoes, and seasonings and simmer for 5 min.
3. Add seafood, heat through.

  • So I was a little hesitant at first with this recipe...I have not had good experience with seafood dishes...but WOW...this was delicious! I used imitation crab...and only about half the chicken broth...but again WOW! SO DELICIOUS!! And so EASY! Definately going to be a keeper :) - 6/30/10

  • I tried this recipe and it is a keeper. It is very tasty. I added parmesan cheese at the end which was great. We used shrimp in it. Everyone loved it and I will make it again. - 6/27/10

  • Overall, pretty good. Note that the calories for this recipe assume ~80 calories per 2 oz of pasta, which is about 120 calories shy of any pasta I've ever seen. Not the author's fault though. - 3/15/10

  • I don't like fish and this was very tasty! It would be good sauce for spaghetti with beef as well! I did add some extra seasoning and thickened up the sauce with some cornstarch. I will make this again, but will cut the "crab" up a little more so I don't notice it so much. Thanks! - 3/3/10

  • We made this recipe yesterday and it was delicious. It was like a thin spaghetti sauce, but still very yummy! Even my husband who is anti low fat loved it! - 1/8/10

  • I just tried it tonight, it is definitly a keeper. I used Fire Roasted Tomatoes, and whole wheat pasta. It had a thin sauce, but that's how most seafood pasta's are. I will make this again - 1/2/10

  • I add fresh basil a large bunch and also much more garlic, grated cheese on top just to add a touch, whole wheat pasta. It is a bit runny but it is not a typical sauce. Cut broth in half or all together if you want it not so thin. I love this and it is so simple and easy! - 4/23/09

  • I used extra krab and whole wheat pasta - it made much more than four servings, but it was watery and very bland. The krab didn't taste like anything and the sauce didn't either. Wouldn't make again - 1/7/09

  • Very tasty, and SO easy! My alterations: didn't have Italian-flavor tomatoes, so used plain & compensated with extra spices. Used veggie broth instead of chicken broth (I don't eat meat or byproducts.) Only used half of the 12-oz fake crab, and the sauce still had plenty of the 'crab' in it. Thanks! - 12/13/08

  • Tried it tonight with the lower sodium chicken broth as suggested by other users. Entered my own food grouping and came up with different nutritional content, especially after I added the pasta. It was VERY quick and DELICIOUS. Thanks for the great idea! - 12/9/08
