Ingredients

    Pie crust, refrigerated, ready-to-bake, 1 crust, single 9"
    Apples, fresh, 2 medium (2-3/4" dia)
    Raisins, 1 cup (not packed)
    Dates, .25 cup, pitted, chopped
    Brown Sugar, .25 cup, packed
    Cinnamon, ground, 1 tsp
    Nutmeg, ground, .5 tbsp
    Ginger, ground, .5 tbsp
    1% milk - 1 tbsp (optional)

Directions

Preheat oven to 350F.
Core, peel and slice (thinly) the apples.
Pit and cut the dates.
In a bowl, toss the apples with the raisins. dates, sugar and seasoning.
Place the prepared crust in a 6" deep dish pie plate.
Spoon the apple mixture into the pie.
Fold the edges over to form a loose top crust. There will be a hole in the center of the crust.
Bake in the preheated oven for 30-40 minutes. (Until fruit is tender and crust is golden.)
Serve warm or cool.
