Introduction

My version adapted from "The Plan". Double recipe. My version adapted from "The Plan". Double recipe.
Number of Servings: 6

Ingredients

    1 cup whole flax seed
1 cup whole golden flax seed
    1 TB cinnamon
    1 tsp ground cloves
    1 tsp ground nutmeg
    1TB Agave
    1 TB Vanilla
    1 cup water

5 oz bag of dried fruit (optional not included in nutrition)

Tips

If the granola still feels wet after an hour continue cooking until all moisture is gone. Do not touch with your hands prior to cooking, you will have a sticky mess!

Directions

Mix both flax seed types together. In a separate bowl dissolve spices, agave & vanilla in water, mix well. Add mixed flax seeds to water, stir and cover. Refrigerate for at least 8 hours.

Preheat oven to 325 degrees

Using a spatula spread flax mixture on to a baking sheet. Spread as thin as possible. Place into oven. Every 15-20 minutes remove from oven and scrape pan, turn and crumble granola. Continue this for about an hour.

Once dry turn off oven, add dried fruit (optional) to pan and replace in oven as it cools for about an hour.

Store in an airtight container. Serve with Silk Coconut Milk (not included in nutritional data).

(Refer to The Plan for explanation and how to incorporate this into your diet.)

Serving Size: 6 ~ 3/4 cup servings

Thanks for putting this in the recipes. I added craisins and sunflower seeds to mine instead of the bagged fruit. - 7/13/13
