Ingredients

    3 cups cubed, peeled turnips
    3 cups cubed peeled sweet potato
    2 1/2 cups cubed peeled Granny Smith apple
    1 cup dried cranberries
    1/2 cup packed dark brown sugar
    1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
    2 tablespoons butter (or vegan butter sub), cut into small pieces

Directions

Preheat oven to 350. Combine first 6 ingredients in a shallow 2 quart baking dish coated with oil or cooking spray. Top with butter. Bake for 1 1/2 hours or until tender, sturring after 45 minutes.

    This is fantastic! I didn't have any sweet potatoes so substituted carrots. Also, substituted brown sugar splenda blend and low fat margarine. I'm going to be making this for my boys. They will never realize they are eating turnips. - 2/14/14
