    1 cup sugar
    1/2 cup shortening (applesauce)
    2 eggs
    2 cups whole wheat flour
    1 tsp baking soda
    1 tsp vanilla
    1/4 tsp salt
    3 bananas


Mix all ingredients together. Grease and flour 2 bread pans. Bake at 350 for 1 hr.

Cool and serve.

  • I thought this was very good, very moist. However, if you are not used to wheat flour; you may want to do half ragular flour and half wheat flour until you get used to the taste of the wheat flour. - 1/20/09
