Introduction

Easy homemade granola. Not too sweet. Costs about half as much as store-bought muesli or granola. Easy homemade granola. Not too sweet. Costs about half as much as store-bought muesli or granola.

Ingredients

    8 cups oats
    1 cup oat bran
1 cup sunflower seeds (raw, unsalted work best)
    3/4 cup pecans, chopped
    1/2 cup flax seed meal
1/3 cup agave nectar (or honey)
    1/3 cup canola oil
    1 tbsp cinnamon

Tips

I usually add some fresh or dried fruit to each serving just before eating.

Directions

Combine all dry ingredients except cinnamon. Whisk together agave nectar and oil, and pour slowly over dry ingredients; stir till well-mixed, then mix in cinnamon. Spread evenly on baking sheets and bake at 300° for about 10 minutes, until lightly browned. Allow to cool completely before storing.
